Stornoway Reports Fatality in Accident on the Winter Road
MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 03/12/13 -- Stornoway Diamond Corporation (TSX: SWY) regrets to report the accidental death of a truck driver working for a transport company in an isolated incident which occurred before midnight on March 11, 2013 on the winter road which links Route 167 to the Renard Project in the Northern Quebec region.

The truck driver was part of a convoy transporting materials to the project site when the accident occurred. Stornoway promptly notified the Surete du Quebec and the Commission de la Sante et de la Securite du Travail du Quebec of the tragic event. Stornoway is providing its support to the family and colleagues of the victim and the third party contractors involved, and will work closely with the authorities investigating the accident.
