Lucky Minerals Appoints Advisory Committee

SURREY, British Columbia, Canada /March 14, 2013/TSX-V: LJ -- Lucky Minerals Inc. (the "Company" or "Lucky Minerals") is pleased to announce today that the Company has appointed Mr. Thomas R. Tough, B.Sc, P.Eng, D. Roger Scammell, B.Sc, P.Geo and Peter J. Hawley, B.Sc, B.Eng, P.Geo, as members of the Advisory Committee of the Company.

Mr. Peter J. Hawley brings over 30 years' experience in the exploration and mining industry, working as a consulting geologist to a large number of intermediate and senior mining companies, including Teck Corp., Noranda Inc., Placer Dome Inc., and Barrick Gold. Corp. Mr. Hawley is the founder of Scorpio Mining Corporation and current CEO of Scorpio Gold Corporation. In 1998 he served as Senior VP of LMX Resources and has exclusive knowledge of past work performed on the Vianey Mine by LMX Resources and its Mexican subsidiary.

D. Roger Scammell contributes of over 40 years' experience in the mining and exploration industry in North America, Mexico and Guatemala. He was the Country Manager (Mexico) for Teck Corporation and its Mexican subsidiary, Minera Teck S.A. de C.V. from 1992 to 2002. Under his direction, Minera Teck discovered the 72 million tonne San Nicolas volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit in Zacatecas, Mexico and the El Limon gold skarn in Guerrero, Mexico. From 2004 to 2010 he was initially the VP of Exploration and later President of Scorpio Mining Corporation and its Mexican subsidiary, Minera Cosala. During this time he was responsible for administration and execution of the exploration, development and initial production of the Nuestra Senora polymetallic silver mine in Sonora, Mexico as well as supervising the construction of the 1,400 tonne per day flotation mill.

Thomas R. Tough brings a wealth of over 40 years' experience as a self-employed consulting engineer in 40 different countries in the eastern and eastern hemispheres. In the course of his career he has been involved in property examinations, qualifying reports, evaluations, project acquisitions and negotiations, mine evaluation, underground and surface exploration, reserve and resource estimations, mine and mill planning and processing, pre-feasibility studies, development and production, open pit and underground, as operator, project manager and a consultant on precious and base metals, industrial minerals, gemstones and oil and gas. He has negotiated corporate financings and joint venture partnerships and dealt with various levels of domestic and foreign government bodies.

Mr. Tough has held directorships and officer positions in public and private companies, including the role of president, CEO and Director of Desert Sun Mining Corp., for 18 years. In April 2006, Yamana Gold Inc. purchased Desert Sun Mining Corp. and its producing gold mine in Brazil. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Potash One, commencing in in 2003, and went on to serve as its the President and Chief Executive Officer until November 23, 2007

The Company believes the significant experience and knowledge of these Members of the Advisory Committee will be a tremendous asset to advancing the Vianey Mine Project to a development stage.


About the Company

Lucky Minerals is a mineral exploration company with two projects, the Parnes Lake Gold Project located 16 km south of the town of Sioux Lookout, Ontario and close proximity to Treasury Metals Goliath Gold deposit, the property consists of 13 unpatented mining claims comprising 139 units totaling 2,229 hectares; and the Vianey Mine Project which is situated within the prolific Guerrero Gold Belt in Guerrero State, Mexico, and approximately 250 km south of Mexico City. The project covers 5,022 hectares (approximately 12,400 acres) in two concessions; the Vianey Mine and the El Jabali concession. The Vianey Mine is 44 Ha in size and is situated within the eastern portion of the Morelos Project owned by Torex Gold Resources Inc. ("Torex"). Morelos hosts Torex's El Limon gold skarn resource. The Vianey Mine was put into production in 1974 by Compania Minera de Chilpancingo S.A. and was in operation on a small scale until 1996. The El Jabali concession is 4,978 Ha in size, and adjoins the eastern edge of the Torex concession. Goldcorp.'s Los Filos Mine, which contains a skarn hosted gold deposit, is located less than 10km southwest of the El Jabali concession.
