African Queen Closes First Tranche of Private Placement

Dec 3rd, 2012 - Vancouver, British Columbia -- African Queen Mines Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the closing of the first tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement which has raised gross proceeds of CAD $565,035. Under the terms of the private placement, the Company has issued 3,766,900 Units (the "Units") at CAD $0.15 per Unit. Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company and one-half of one share purchase warrant (the "Warrants"). Each whole Warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share of the Company at an exercise price of CAD $0.25 until December 3, 2014. The Company paid cash finders' fees of CAD $23,989, representing 4.2% of the aggregate proceeds of the offering. The Units are subject to a 4-month hold period in Canada expiring April 4, 2013.
