Aurizon Securityholders Approve Plan of Arrangement

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/09/13 -- Aurizon Mines Ltd. (TSX: ARZ) (NYSE MKT: AZK) ("Aurizon" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its securityholders have approved the Company's previously announced Plan of Arrangement with Hecla Mining Company.99.5% of the votes cast by Aurizon securityholders were voted in favour of the special resolution to approve the Arrangement at the Special Meeting of shareholders and optionholders held earlier today.
Completion of the Arrangement is subject to various conditions, including final court approval and Hecla receiving approval under the Investment Canada Act.
