SASKATOON, 07/02/13 - Star Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE: SUV) ("Star" or the "Corporation") is very pleased to announce today that Mr. Jim Engdahl has been appointed to the position of President and CEO of the Corporation, effective immediately, subject to regulatory approval.Mr. Engdahl joined the Board of Directors of Star in March of 2013. Prior to his board appointment, Mr. Engdahl was actively involved in the exploration of the Hoidas Lake project while he was the President and a Director with Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. Since his appointment as a Director to Star, Mr. Engdahl has also been evaluating opportunities for Star's existing exploration projects.
Mr. Engdahl has extensive leadership experience in mining and exploration companies, including the rare earth, diamond and gold sectors over the past 25 years. His experience includes raising more than $250 million for project exploration and corporate growth. Further, Mr. Engdahl developed a worldwide base of contacts through his experience in banking, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions.
