VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2013) - Golden Reign Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:GRR) (the "Company" or "Golden Reign") is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Kevin Weston as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Weston, a mining industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, has overseen both open-pit and underground mining operations across six provinces and two territories within Canada, as well as Mexico, Zimbabwe and Tunisia. Mr. Weston is a results-focused mining professional. Within the last five years, he achieved commercial production on an expedited basis at two mines for Canadian companies. A graduate of McGill University in Mining Engineering, Mr. Weston possesses the mine operating and management skills to guide the Company through its transition into an operating entity.
This marks a significant transition in the Company's corporate development. Our achievements in 2012 and the delivery of our initial NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate at the San Albino Gold Project have put us in a strong position to implement our future corporate objectives. Golden Reign is wholly focused on enhancing shareholder value by growing a successful gold exploration, development and production company in Nicaragua. The first stage is expected to be a low-cost open-pit development.
