Star Uranium Corp.: Change of Directors and Appointment of CFO and Corporate Secretary

SASKATOON, Sep 9, 2013 - Star Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SUV) (the "Corporation") announced today the election, at the Annual Special and General Meeting of Shareholders held on August 27, 2013, of the Honorable William (Bill) McKnight as director of the Corporation. Mr. McKnight served Canada as a Member of Parliament for fourteen years, nine of those as a senior member of cabinet. During those nine years, Mr. McKnight held seven portfolios, including Labour, Canada Mortgage and Housing, Indian Affairs and Northern Development, National Defense, Agriculture and Energy, Mines and Resources (1984 until resigning in 1993). As a successful private businessman, Senior Minister and member of the Inner Cabinet, Mr. McKnight developed a unique strategic planning ability that is so important in today's global business environment. He is Chairman of McKnight & Associates; former director of several public companies including Cline Mining Corporation and Great Western Minerals Group Ltd.; Treaty Commissioner for Saskatchewan; and an Honorary Chief, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation.

The Corporation also announces that Mr. Kulvinder (Kal) Matharu has resigned as director of the Corporation for personal reasons, effective September 3, 2013. Mr. Jim Engdahl, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, would like to thank Mr. Matharu for his past service to the Corporation.

The Corporation also announces the appointment of Ms. Karen Frisky as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Corporation. Ms. Frisky received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan in 1994 and was designated a Certified General Accountant in 2006. Ms. Frisky's appointment is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
