Toronto, Ontario -- (Newsfile Corp. - September 18, 2013) - Shield Gold Inc. (TSXV: SHG) ("Shield" or the "Corporation") announces that it has granted options to purchase up to 300,000 common shares of Shield at the price of $0.12 per share expiring on September 18, 2016. The options were granted to consultants to the Company in accordance with Shield's stock option plan and the requirements of the TSX Venture Exchange. Subsequent to the granting of the current options, the Company has 37,343,486 shares outstanding (52,159,984 fully diluted).About Shield Gold Inc.:
