Luna Gold Recommences Mine Operations
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan 15, 2014) - Luna Gold Corp. (TSX:LGC)(OTCQX:LGCUF)(LMA:LGC) ("Luna" or the "Company") is pleased to announce mine operations have resumed at the Aurizona Gold Mine, Maranhao, Brazil. Production at Luna's Aurizona Gold Mine recommenced overnight.
Yesterday, a meeting was held between the local government and representatives of community members engaged in demonstrations concerning the progress of government-sponsored infrastructure projects. Luna attended as an observer. A resolution between the parties has been reached and the demonstrations have ceased. The company confirms our employees have returned safely to normal operations.
