Dissimieux Lake Prospecting Returns Grab Samples up to 8.79% P2O5 at Fleury Showings
* 51 assay results from Northwestern sampling covering Historic Fleury Showings
* Significant Results from Northwestern Sampling include 4 Grab Samples over 5% P2O5: 8.79%, 7.97%, 7.24 % and 5.24% P2O5
Toronto, Ontario CANADA, February 20, 2014 /FSC/ - Jourdan Resources Inc. (JOR - TSX Venture),("JOURDAN" or the "Company") (www.jourdan.ca) is pleased to announce the first results of the late 2013 prospecting program on the company's flagship Dissimieux Lake Phosphate claims, located 140 km north-west of Baie-Comeau and 130 km north of Forestville, Quebec along the Upper North Shore of the St. Lawrence River.
In December 2013 Jourdan completed the prospecting of three regions outside the Main Dissimieux Lake Phosphate Zone (see Map 1) and a total of 231 grab samples were collected and submitted for analysis (see press release dated December 17, 2013 - http://www.jourdan.ca/uploads/187.pdf). Previous exploration on Dissimieux Lake Project by Jourdan has focussed on drilling the Main Phosphate Zone. This zone has been traced with 400 metre centred drilling over a distance of approximately 2,400 metres.
The samples were collected from easily accessible areas, primarily near or on roads and trails and as such do not represent a systematic exploration of the targeted areas. Of the total 231 samples, 51 were collected from the Northwestern section of the Dissimieux Lake claims. Jourdan staked claims during 2013 in this area adjacent to the main Dissimieux claim block to cover the Fleury showings based on information contained in the Sigeoem (System d'information geominier) database and shown on the map titled Synthese geologique - Baie-Comeau, RG2009-03-C001 produced by Ministere des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune of Quebec. See press release March 1st, 2013 (http://www.jourdan.ca/uploads/172.pdf).
Part of the planned November 2013 prospecting was to follow up and sample in the vicinity of the Fleury showings. While it is not possible to determine if the exact outcrops that were previously sampled, Jourdan's prospecting program obtained similar values to those presented in the Sigeom information and GPS measurements indicate sampling was done in the general area of the historic showings.
Of the 51 samples collected in the Northwestern area, 4 assayed greater than 5% P2O5, including sample E5809701 which returned 8.79% P2O5 collected from the vicinity of the Fleury 1-4 and 1-5 showings shown on Map 2. A second sample collected in this area E5809399 assayed 7.24% P2O5. Near the showing Fleury 1-b located approximately 800 m west of Fleury 1-4 sample E5809331 assayed 7.97% P2O5. Historical results from Sigeom for these three showing ranged from 4.56% P2O5 to 5.78 % P2O5 (see Table 2).
The fourth greater than 5% P2O5 sample was collected near showing Fleury 1-7 located approximately 3 kilometres to the north of Fleury 1-4. This sample E5809335 assayed 5.4% P2O5 with a two additional close samples returning 4.24% P2O5 and 3.82% P2O5. The historic assay listed in Sigeom was 6.14% P2O5.
In the area of a fifth showing, Fleury 1-3 which had a historical value of 4.29% P2O5 Jourdan collected samples assaying up to 4.10% P2O5.
Overall the prospecting results were positive with two thirds of the samples, 34 of 51 assaying over 1% P2O5 and 37% of the samples, 19 of 51 assaying over 3% P2O5 as shown in table 1 below.

This program supports the verification of the historical sampling of the Fleury showing and prioritizes this area for further exploration in 2014. Investors should note grab samples are selective by nature and may not be representative of average grades of the mineralization within zones.
"We are very excited to be able to confirm the Fleury results obtained by Natural Resources Quebec, as well as be able to expand the area of higher grade mineralization. With results at Fleury appearing to be higher grade than in the main phosphate zone at Dissimieux Lake, and seeing mineralization 10km away that appears to be more than 4km long, our hypothesis of multiple mineralized zones at Jourdan's Dissimieux Lake Property has been confirmed. Even within the Fleury area, there appears to be two distinct zones of mineralization that may be of some material size" stated Jourdan's President and CEO Michael Dehn.

Quality assurance / Quality Control ("QA/QC")
Surface grab samples averaging 1 kilogram each were taken by qualified personnel from Jourdan. Samples were bagged, sealed and numbered on-site, and delivered to Jourdan's Mississauga office by Jourdan staff. Blank samples, standards and duplicates were inserted into the sample stream and the full set of samples was transported to AGAT Laboratories in Mississauga, Ontario for analysis. At the laboratory facility, samples were inventoried, weighed and dried; crushed 75% to under 2 millimetres; riffled split with a 250 gram sub-sample pulverized 85% to under 75 microns; then followed by analysis using packages 201-078 Lithogeochemical Analysis by ICP/ICPMS Finish and 201-676 XRF Whole Rock Analysis. Approximately 5% of the samples were submitted to ALS Canada for check analysis.
