SHORT COURSES, HOSPITALITY, FORUMS and PRESENTATIONS
Friday, February 28
8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Dr. Bill Mercer, Vice President, Exploration and Mark Wiseman, Vice President, Sustainability will be running a short course on Health and Safety in Mineral Exploration. Registration is required to attend the workshop.
Sunday, March 2
10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Mark Wiseman will be a panelist in the CSR Event Series Getting it Right: Community Engagement for Junior Companies in room 803AB.<
Monday, March 3
Avalon and Hatch are co-hosting a Hospitality event to celebrate the signing of the Participation Agreement between Avalon and the Northwest Territory Métis Nation from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Lobby of 130 Adelaide St. West. 10:45 am: Dr. Bill Mercer will be introducing the Thayer Lindsley Award Winners' presentation in Room 713
11:00 am to 12:00 pm: Don Bubar, President and CEO, will participate on an industry panel in the CANNOR:NPMO Forum where he will be discussing the Nechalacho Project in the context of the theme Moving Projects Forward in Canada's North: Success Stories in Room 206BA (North Building).
2:00 pm: Dr. Bill Mercer will speak in the Open Session at, Room 713 on "Energy conservation at Avalon's Nechalacho Project, NWT, Canada".
Wednesday, March 5
9:00 am to 12:00 pm: Don Bubar will co-chair the technical program Specialty Metals and Industrial Minerals in Room 715. Pierre Neatby, VP, Sales and Marketing, will be presenting on the Separation Rapids Project in this session at 11:15 am.
9:00 am to 12:00 pm: Dr. Bill Mercer will co-chair the technical program New Discoveries and Developments. This session will take place in Room 716. Among the presentations is one on Zenyatta Ventures' Albany Ultra-High Purity Graphite discovery at 9:10 am. Don Bubar serves as a technical advisor to Zenyatta.
