Durango Announces AGM Results
Vancouver, BC / TNW-ACCESSWIRE / March 24, 2014 / Durango Resources Inc.. (the "Company") announces that the Company held its annual general meeting of the shareholders (the "Meeting") on Monday, March 24th, 2014.
Twenty four (24) shareholders were present in person or by proxy at the Meeting representing 39% of the issued and outstanding shares of the Company.
The Company would like to thank all shareholders for their continued support and is pleased to announce the re-election of Marcy Kiesman and Veronica Liu as directors of Durango Resources Inc. Peter Dimmell was not re-elected and the Company would like to sincerely thank Mr. Dimmell for his efforts over his four year term and wishes him great success in the future. Ms. Danae Voormeij chose not to let her name stand for election as director.
The Company would like to welcome Ms. Thea Koshman who was nominated and elected at the meeting to act as an independent director. Ms. Koshman obtained an LL.B. from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School in 1987 and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from York University in 1984. She is an experienced securities, corporate finance and business lawyer and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia. Ms. Koshman has held the positions of corporate secretary and/or corporate counsel for various public companies in a number of industries. She was recently corporate counsel for a "mine-to-market" TSX-V listed company and is currently a director of Huaxing Machinery Corp., also listed on the TSX-V. In her capacities as lawyer and as corporate counsel she has provided securities, corporate governance and general business law advice and guidance to junior mining issuers and other public companies for 26 years.
