Centamin PLC: Application for Listing of Ordinary Shares

PERTH, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwired - Mar 31, 2014) - Centamin PLC ("Centamin" or "the Company") (LSE: CEY) (TSX: CEE) has applied for a further tranche of 9,578,546 ordinary shares to be admitted to trading.The Company has made the application to the Financial Conduct Authority for admission to the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange plc for admission to trading of this tranche on 1 April 2014.
This relates to the number of Ampella Mining Limited shareholders that have accepted Centamin's off-market takeover offer during the period from 1 March 2014 to the date the offer closed on 24 March 2014.
A further tranche of shares will be applied for following completion of the compulsory acquisition process which is currently underway.
In compliance with DTR5.6, as of today's date the issued share capital of the Company, with voting rights, is 1,139,548,944 (excluding the shares to be issued under the application noted above). The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury.
