Chieftain Metals Corp. Announces Results of Annual Meeting of Shareholders
TORONTO, April 1, 2014 /CNW/ - Chieftain Metals Corp. ("Chieftain" or the "Company") (TSX: CFB) announced that, at the Company's annual meeting of shareholders held on March 31, 2014 (the "AGM"), shareholders approved the re?appointment of the Company's auditors and the election of each of the management nominees to the Board of Directors listed in the management information circular of the Company dated February 28, 2014.
Based on the proxies received, each management nominee for election to the Board of Directors received votes in favour in excess of 95% of the total votes cast, as set out below.

In addition, as required by the rules of the Toronto Stock Exchange, disinterested shareholders of the Company approved by ballot all unallocated options under the Company's rolling stock option plan until March 31, 2017. A total of 4,792,308 eligible shares (representing 93.91% of the voted shares) were voted in favour of the resolution and a total of 310,700 shares (representing 6.09% of the voted shares) were voted against the resolution.
