Zonte Metals Appoints Brian MacEachen as Chief Financial Officer

May 24, 2013 – Halifax, Nova Scotia – Zonte Metals Inc (TSXV: ZON) (“Zonte” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brian MacEachen as Chief Financial Officer.Mr. MacEachen is a Chartered Accountant and consultant with over 25 years of experience with publicly-listed companies. Mr. MacEachen’s experience in the mining industry has included executive and director positions with both producers and junior explorers, including Franco-Nevada, Aur Resources, Brigus Gold (formerly Linear Gold), Avalon Rare Metals and Linear Metals (now Stockport Exploration).
Mr. MacEachen is replacing Ms. Megan Spidle who has resigned from the Chief Financial Officer role due to personal reasons. Terry Christopher, President and CEO stated “We thank Ms. Spidle for her contribution during the initial growth stage of the company and the seamless transition over the past months. Mr. MacEachen has considerable experience and contacts in the industry and a full understanding of Zonte’s objectives and will be instrumental in the financial and growth strategy of the company.
Further to the Company’s March 4, 2013 press release, the Company confirms that it has issued the vendors of the Wings Point South property 100,002 common shares at a deemed price of $0.075 per share, in lieu of a $7,500 cash payment. The shares are subject to a four-month and one day statutory hold period that expires on July 2, 2013.
