Canadian Oil Sands to Hold Annual General Meeting

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Apr 17, 2014) - Canadian Oil Sands Ltd. ("COS") (TSX:COS) will hold its Annual General Meeting of shareholders on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. (MDT) in the Ballroom of the Metropolitan Conference Centre, located at 333 Fourth Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta.

A live audio webcast of the meeting can be accessed at www.cdnoilsands.com. An archived version of the webcast and presentation material also will be available shortly after the live webcast from the website and archived for 90 days.

The close of business on March 17, 2014 was fixed as the record date for determination of those shareholders entitled to receive notice and to vote at the meeting. If voting by mail, all proxies must be received by Computershare Trust Company no later than 2:30 p.m. (MDT) on Monday, April 28, 2014.

Media attending the meeting will be asked to show accreditation when signing in.

COS plans to release its first quarter 2014 results after market close the same day.
