Amerix Provides Corporate Update and Announces Director Resignation
The Company reports that it continues to seek a strategic partner for its Limao Gold Property located in the Tapajos region of Brazil. Difficult financial markets for junior resource exploration companies have made continuation of the Company's exploration efforts at Limao challenging.
Amerix has contacted many companies that have expressed interest in the Limao project, however many of these parties are experiencing the same financial constraints as is Amerix.
Amerix has reduced its ongoing costs to persevere through these difficult circumstances and will continue to seek a viable strategy to create value at its Brazilian assets. At the last shareholders' meeting, shareholders voted to allow the Company to consolidate its' share capital for the purpose of facilitating a future financing at a time when the market will support such an event.
The Company also announces that Mr. William Whitehead has tendered his resignation as Director of the Company. We thank him for his years of valuable service to the Company and its shareholders.
