ISS Recommends Voting in Favour of all Macarthur Minerals' AGM Resolutions

ANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired - Aug. 11, 2014) - Macarthur Minerals Limited (TSX:MMS) (OTCQX:MMSDF) (the "Company" or "Macarthur Minerals") announces that it has filed the Management Information Circular and related proxy materials with Canadian securities regulators in preparation for the Company's Annual General Meeting on August 28, 2014 ("AGM").


ISS Recommendation

The Company is pleased to announce that Institutional Shareholder Services ("ISS") has issued its report recommending to their respective institutional clients that they vote in favour of all proposed items put forward at the AGM.

ISS is an independent proxy advisory firm who, among other services, provides proxy voting recommendations to pension funds, investment managers, mutual funds and other institutional shareholders.


Voting

Your vote is important regardless of the number of shares you own. Macarthur encourages shareholders to read the meeting materials in detail. A copy of the Management Information Circular is available on the Company's website at www.macarthurminerals.com and on SEDAR.

Macarthur's board of directors has recommended that shareholders vote FOR all resolutions.

Macarthur Minerals Limited is an Australian based resource development company currently focused on developing its Ularring Hematite Project, located in the Yilgarn iron ore district in Western Australia.
