Saint Jean Provides Walker Final Payment
OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug 19, 2014) - Saint Jean Carbon Inc. ("Saint Jean" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SJL) with reference to its prior press release dated August 19, 2013 is pleased to announce that it has completed the Walker transaction, which was previously approved by the TSX Venture Exchange, by issuance of 5,000,000 common shares today. The common shares were issued to the vendor at a deemed value of $0.05 per share. All securities issued will be subject to a hold period of four months and one day pursuant to applicable securities laws.
HISTORY ON WALKER PROPERTY
The Walker property is located 8 km northwest of Buckingham, in Buckingham Township. The Walker property lies within SNRC sheet numbers 31G11 and 31G12, and is now made of 19 claims, for a total area of 1,142.55 ha. The Walker property includes the Walker mine, a past graphite producer with about 816 tons of flaky and lump graphite extracted from the mine between 1876 and 1906. Main roads are located 2 km away from the Walker Mine. A secondary or private road runs up to the property site which allows for easy access.
