American Magna Announces New Claims and Future Plans on Bell Flat Property
"This is a very exciting time for us at American Magna," said Carl Nesbitt, President & CEO of American Magna. "The addition of these new claims is a great foundation for our future developments on the Bell Flat."
The company plans to conduct a preliminary sampling and mapping program of the new claim areas, and additional sampling of several areas of Bell Flats. The sampling is intended to help define the mineralized region, and will be used to locate the optimal areas for a drilling campaign to define the resource.
Additionally, the samples will undergo mineralogical identification tests to identify the magnesium minerals present in the area. This information and results from acid-base accounting (ABA) tests will be used to find new markets for material from the deposit.
"Magnesium minerals can provide acid neutralization. We believe that some of the material at Bell Flats may be sold as pH amendment material to mines interested in controlling acid generation of waste dumps or heaps," said Nesbitt. Samples taken from various areas of Bell Flat will be used to determine its acid neutralization capacity in Humidity Cell and other ABA tests.
