Aura Minerals Reports Fatality at Aranzazu Mine
TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - August 28, 2014) - Aura Minerals Inc. (the "Company") (TSX: ORA) regrets to report the occurrence of a fatal accident at the Aranzazu Mine ("Aranzazu") in the State of Zacatecas, Mexico on the morning of August 27, 2014. A miner employed by Aranzazu was fatally injured above ground when unexpected movement of material from a side-wall breached his equipment.
All underground and open-pit activities, except emergency requirements, were suspended and secured and the appropriate governmental agencies contacted. A formal investigation is under way. The accident area remains closed and secured however other normal operations have now resumed.
