Probe Mines Ltd. Adds John Haflidson as Senior Mining Advisor
Mr. Haflidson brings his extensive experience in underground gold mining operations to the Company. He spent ten years as General Manager of Barrick's Holt-McDermott Mine, where he played a key role in mining a gold deposit with similar geometry to the Borden High Grade zone and, more recently, was involved in the construction of Lakeshore's Timmins West gold mine as well as contributing to the environmental permitting and re-activation of their Bell Creek mill and tailings pond. Mr. Haflidson also served as Project Manager for Cementation Canada Inc. on its $250 million Engineering, Procurement and Construction ("EPC") contract at Potash Corporation's $1.5 billion Picadilly project and contributed to winning a $90 million contract at Goldcorp's Hoyle Pond mine. He also participated in a number of capital projects, including feasibility work for Stornoway's Renard project, Xstrata's Onaping Depth project and Noront's McFaulds Lake project.
Mr. Haflidson is a Professional Engineer and holds a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Queens University of Kingston Ontario. He is a former Chairman of the Porcupine Mine Managers' Association and Director of the Ontario Mining Association.
