Buffalo Coal Corp. - Fatality at Aviemore Colliery

TORONTO, Sept. 23, 2014 /CNW/ - Buffalo Coal Corp. (TSX: BUF; JSE: BUC) ("Buffalo") regrets to advise that an employee at the company's Aviemore Colliery, near Dundee in kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, died in hospital from injuries sustained in a blasting incident which occurred underground at the colliery at approximately 08:00 on Saturday, September 20, 2014.

Malcolm Campbell, Chief Executive Officer of Buffalo said, "Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family and friends of the deceased. All operations at Aviemore have been suspended until such time as management and the board are satisfied as to the safety of our employees."

The Department of Mineral Resources ("DMR") has been advised of the incident and a full investigation, comprising mine management, representatives of the DMR, and the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union, will be conducted.
