Orestone Announces Estrella de Oro Exploration Results
Orestone completed an initial soil geochemistry program consisting of a grid covering an area of 500 metres by 700 metres. Results show a gold anomaly approximately 600 meters long by 100 to 150 metres wide that corresponds with previous positive surface sample results.
In August the Company executed a trenching program consisting of 11 trenches of varying lengths totaling approximately 350 metres. The objective of the program was to test targets developed through previous soil geochemistry, geological mapping and surface sample work. Geological mapping and sampling of the trenches shows wide spaced quartz veinlet's in a barren diorite intrusive with no indication of extensive silicification or gold mineralization. The property does not appear to host the potential for a bulk-tonnage gold system in an order of magnitude initially anticipated.
The Company has advised that it will not be proceeding with the option agreement.
