Glenmark Capital Corp. Appoints Richard Ko Director & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ko received a Bachelor's of Arts (BA) in Economics from The University of Victoria, BC, in 1974 with a focus on international economics and political science. In 1979 he obtained his CA designation and has since directed his energies on developing opportunities in Canada and Asia, particularly in Hong Kong. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and his specific mandate with Glenmark will be to source joint venture and funding opportunities in China, Korea and Japan.
Regarding his appointment, Mr. Ko commented, "It is arguable that China has the largest and most robust economy in the world and that its explosive growth since 2008 has been the primary driver for economic recovery in the West. Over the last decade, Korea, Japan and China have all made notable forays into North American markets in an attempt to secure natural resources, often at preproduction stages. I look forward to bringing Glenmark opportunities to Asia."
This appointment follows the resignation of Mr. Keir Reynolds as a director and CFO of the Company. The board of directors and management of Glenmark would like to extend their sincere thanks to Keir for his diligent service over the past two and a half years and wish him every success in future endeavors.
