ABM Resources NL Mining Contractor Selected & Mobilisation Commencing
ABM and Resource Mining expect that mobilisation can commence during the first half of February.
ABM's operation team will be mobilising from next week preparing for the arrival of the Contractor.
The first tasks to be undertaken by Resource Mining will be:
- to upgrade the access road into the site from the Tanami Road;
- the establishment of the Contractor's infrastructure; and
- the clearing over the planned mining areas.
This will be followed by first mining and stockpiling of ore approximately 1 month from site establishment. This schedule is subject to change dependent on access issues relating to public road closures caused by the northern Australian wet-season.
Other Operational News
ABM is actively recruiting mining personnel including safety, environmental, mining engineering, survey, mine geology and mineral processing.
ABM is in the process of opening an Alice Springs head-office. A lease has been finalised and the office will open in March 2015.
Darren Holden, Managing Director of ABM, said "With all the appropriate permits in place, we are commencing our mobilisation to Old Pirate shortly. Our team is growing and we look forward to starting mining at Australia's next high-grade open pit gold mine. "
