Mr. Jay Collins Announces Early Warning Report Filing Regarding Shareholdings in Banyan Gold Corp.

Calgary, Alberta (FSCwire) - Further to disclosure requirements of applicable securities laws, Mr. Jay Collins, a director of Banyan Gold Corp., announces he has acquired directly through controlled affiliates, beneficial ownership of an additional 900,000 Units of Banyan Gold Corp. ("Banyan" or the "Company") for investment purposes.  Per the Company’s news release of February 17, 2015, these Units consists one common share and one-half of a non-transferable common share purchase warrant, with each full warrant exercisable into one common share of the company at an exercise price of 7.5 cents, exercisable for a period of 24 months from the date of issuance. These shares were purchased in the Company’s recently closed first tranche private placement financing.  Prior to the acquisition of these shares, Mr. Collins held directly and indirectly 3,726,000 common shares of the Company, which amounted to 25.7% of the Company's issued and outstanding shares.  Following this transaction, Mr. Collins now owns directly, or has control or direction over 4,626,000 shares representing 19.95% of the Company's current 23,184,000 issued and outstanding common shares.  On a fully diluted basis, Mr Collins owns an 18.44% control position.
