Hudbay Announces Collective Agreements with USW Unions in Manitoba

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jun 1, 2015) - HudBay Minerals Inc. ("Hudbay" or the "company") (TSX:HBM)(NYSE:HBM) announced today that new 3-year collective agreements have been ratified by the members of United Steelworkers ("USW") Local 7106 and USW Local 9338.

Combined, the two unions represent approximately 67% of Hudbay's 1,090 unionized employees at its Manitoba operations. USW Local 7106 represents production workers at the Manitoba operations and USW Local 9338 represents office and technical workers.

Negotiations are ongoing with four other unions and production continues at Hudbay's Manitoba operations. 180 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local No. 1848 have been on strike since May 2, 2015.
