Noram Ventures Inc. Appoints New President

Vancouver (FSCwire) - Noram Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: NRM) ("Noram" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Ireton as president, chief executive officer and a director.

Mr. Ireton is a banker by profession with over 30 years of experience in all areas of commercial mid-market lending. He is versed in both public and private transactions, reorganizations, acquisitions—both management buyouts and leveraged buyouts—and divestitures in a variety of sectors that include wholesale distribution, manufacturing, aviation, transportation, construction, excavation, post production and oil service.

Mr. Ireton has been vice president of PNC Bank in Vancouver, British Columbia since 2012. His previous experience includes 20 years with Canadian Western Bank (1992-2012) and 6 years with Royal Bank of Canada (1986-1992).

Effective immediately, Mr. Ireton will assume the role of president and chief executive officer, and David Rees will remain in his capacity as a director.

“It’s time to start a new chapter and we are very pleased that Mark has agreed to join the Company. He is a seasoned professional and his business and financial experience will be invaluable in leading the Company’s future endeavours,” said outgoing president and chief executive officer, David Rees.

The Company also reports that it has accepted the resignation of Chris Dyakowski, who has been a director of the Company since 2010 and is leaving to focus on his other interests. Mr. Dyakowski has agreed to continue to assist the Company with its mineral explorations properties as needed.

The board of directors would like to thank Mr. Rees for his years of stewardship as past president and chief executive officer, and thank Mr. Dyakowski for his service to the Company and wish him every success in his future endeavours.

Mr. Ireton’s appointment as president, chief executive officer and a director is subject to the approval of the TSX-V.
