Heron Resources Announces Election of Directors
Sydney, Australia (FSCwire) - Heron Resources Ltd. (ASX:HRR TSX:HER, “Heron” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the nominees listed in the management information circular for the 2015 Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders (the “Meeting”) were elected as directors of the Company. Since Heron is an Australian incorporated entity, and pursuant to its Constitution, and corporate law requirements in Australia, directors are elected on a staggered basis – based on a three (3) year rotation rule – with only a subset of the Company’s board elected each year. In accordance with TSX Staff Notice 2015-0002, the Company applied and successfully received relief from the requirements for the election of all directors at the Meeting. Stephen Dennis, Fiona Robertson and Mark Sawyer were the only persons proposed to be nominated for election at the Meeting. Detailed results of the vote for the election of above-named directors held at the Meeting in Sydney, Australia on November 18, 2015 are set out below:
