Dajin Proceeds with Exploration and Permitting for Teels Marsh, Nevada

16.12.2015  |  The Newswire

Vancouver, BC / TheNewswire / December 16, 2015 - Dajin Resources Corp. ("Dajin") (TSX-V: DJI) (OTC: DJIFF) (Frankfurt: A1XF20) is pleased to report that it is advancing exploration and permitting at Teels Marsh.

Dajin has retained the services of Reno, Nevada-based geothermal and mineral exploration geologist, Dr. Mark Coolbaugh, to carry out a structural and stratigraphic analysis of Teels Marsh. Using gravity, magnetic and Geoprobe data already collected, a new structural map of the basin is being created. The work is focused on identification of drill targets to test favourable aquifers that might contain lithium-rich brines.

Structural analysis reveals that Teels Marsh is bounded by faults and is tectonically active. Thick accumulations of ash deposits could occur beneath the marsh because the marsh occupies a closed basin and is located east of the nearby Mono Lake, Long Valley Caldera (Bishop Tuff) and other ash producing volcanic centres. These ash layers have proven to be the most productive brine sources in Clayton Valley, where the only North American lithium brine deposit is being mined by Rockwood Lithium Inc. (Click to see figures. [Please remember to refresh your browser to see updated material]).

The structural work, combined with the Geoprobe results, suggests that stratigraphy similar to that found at Clayton Valley may be present at Teels Marsh. Published information from the Rockwood operations show relatively low lithium concentrations close to the playa edges, with higher concentrations deeper in the basin, consistent with Dajin's findings so far. The model similarity suggests the possibility that higher brine lithium concentrations could exist in the central, deeper portions of the basin. These studies will be used for locating exploration wells and a seismic survey to be carried out in 2016. Permitting for these activities is currently underway.

The technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with the Canadian regulatory requirements of National Instrument 43-101 and has been reviewed and approved on behalf of Dajin by Dr. Catherine Hickson, P.Geo, a Qualified Person.

About Dajin: (www.dajin.ca)

Dajin is an early stage energy metals exploration company holding a 100% interest in 215 placer claims known to contain lithium and boron values in the Teels Marsh region of Mineral County, Nevada. These claims, which cover 4,574 acres (1,851 hectares), was the birth place of US Borax Corp's first borax mine. Dajin also hold a 100% interest in 191 placer claims covering 3,851 acres (1,558 hectares) in Alkali Lake region of Esmeralda County, Nevada, 12 kilometers (7 miles) northeast of Rockwood's Clayton Valley Lithium operations.

Dajin also holds a 100% interest in concessions or concession applications in Jujuy Province, Argentina that were acquired in regions known to contain brines with potassium, lithium and boron values. These concessions total approximately 100,000 hectares (247,000 acres) with 80,248 hectares (198,000 acres) located in the Salinas Grandes/Guayatayoc salt lakes basin adjacent to concessions held by Orocobre Ltd. (ORL-T: TSX), who is partnered with Toyota Tsusho. Dajin recently completed an agreement with the Tres Morres community for exploration of the 4,400 hectare (10,873 acres) San Jose and Navidad concessions within the Salinas Grande salar.
