Aureus Mining Inc.: Early Warning Report News Release

TORONTO, May 12, 2016- This Press Release is to confirm that at the above date Richard Griffiths and Controlled Undertakings ("the Offeror") are in ownership of 53,900,002 units (the "Units") of Aureus Mining Inc. (the "Reporting Issuer") (Stock Symbol: AUE). Each Unit is comprised of one common share. As such the Offeror owns, in aggregate, 53,900,002 common shares of the Reporting Issuer, representing approximately 9.95% of the common shares issued and outstanding as at the date hereof

The Offeror holds the Units for investment purposes, and has no current intention to increase the beneficial ownership of, or control or direction over, securities of the Reporting Issuer. These investments are reviewed on a continuing basis and holdings may be increased or decreased in the future.
