Tasca Updates Its Jumping Lake and Cobb Bay Program
The objective of the program was to further investigate historic occurrences within the current property boundaries of the Jumping Lake property and the Cobb Bay property as well as follow up on the anomalies generated during the earlier IP and magnetics survey of the Jumping Lake property.
The properties lie within the Sturgeon Lake Greenstone Belt of the Wabigoon Subprovince. The program was successful in locating some of the historic showings and samples have been submitted for analysis. In addition, a previously unknown quartz vein was located and sampled. All samples have been sent to the accredited lab - Bureau Veritas Minerals, 669 Moneta Avenue, Timmins ON P4N 2H9
A permit is in place to drill the 190-metre-long McKinnon Vein, where preliminary grab sampling in 2009 returned gold values ranging from 2.43 gpt Au to 81.5 gpt Au from 7 of the 10 samples taken.
