Dajin Resources Corp. Begins Direct-Push Drilling at Gabbs Valley

15.12.2016  |  The Newswire
Vancouver, December 15, 2016 - Dajin Resources Corp. ("Dajin") (TSX-V: DJI) (OTC: DJIFF) (Germany: C2U1) is pleased to report it has commenced its direct-push drill program at Gabbs Valley in Mineral County, Nevada, approximately 100 miles southeast of Reno, Nevada.

Following receipt of the approval of a Notice of Intent from the Bureau of Land Management, Pediment Gold LLC, of Sparks, Nevada began the direct-push drilling and sampling program. Dajin Directors Drs. Catherine Hickson and Mark Coolbaugh were present to view sampling procedures and drilling progress, where they observed the brine sampling from Hole #2. Drilling and sampling of up to nine holes are proposed dependant on ground and weather conditions. (click here for video and photos)

Initial exploratory work has confirmed shallow brine deposits exist in the first two holes. The brine fluids are being collected and will be analyzed for a suite of solutes and elements, including Lithium and Boron. Assay results are expected to be available in early 2017.

The 690 placer claims staked at Gabbs Valley cover 13,800 acres (5,600 hectares) in the lower-elevation western portion of Gabbs Valley, where a playa (salar) with surface salt and mud flats occurs. The playa is considered to be a viable prospect for subsurface lithium brines for the following reasons: 1) it is a deep closed basin in a dry, desert environment, 2) geothermal activity is known to occur on all sides of the playa, including the south end where the operating Don Campbell geothermal power plant is located, 3) potential lithium source rocks are found throughout much of the catchment basin, and 4) the catchment basin covers an area of 1,270 mi2 (3,295 km2; twice the size of Clayton Valley). Lithium concentrations of up to 720 ppm in sediments have been publicly reported in Gabbs Valley, but have not yet been verified by Dajin. These concentrations are considered to be a favourable indicator of the possible occurrence of subsurface Lithium bearing brines.

The technical information in this press release has been prepared in accordance with the Canadian regulatory requirements of National Instrument 43-101 and has been reviewed and approved on behalf of Dajin Resources Corp. by Dajin Directors, Dr. Catherine Hickson, P. Geo and Dr. Mark Coolbaugh, CPG, the Qualified Persons.

About Dajin: (www.dajin.ca)

Dajin is an early stage Lithium exploration company holding a 100% interest in 294 placer claims known to contain Lithium and Boron values in the Teels Marsh region of Mineral County, Nevada. These claims cover 5,853 acres (2,369 hectares) and are adjacent to the birth place of US Borax Corp's first borax mine. Dajin also holds a 100% interest in 191 placer claims covering 3,851 acres (1,558 hectares) in the Alkali Lake region of Esmeralda County, Nevada, located 7 miles (12 kilometers) northeast of Albemarle's Clayton Valley Lithium brine operation and a 100% interest in the recently acquired 690 placer claims covering 13,800 acres (5,600 hectares) in Gabbs Valley located in Mineral County, Nevada.

Dajin, through Dajin Resources S.A. (Argentina), holds concessions or concession applications in Jujuy Province, Argentina that were acquired in regions known to contain brines with Potassium, Lithium and Boron values. These concessions exceed 93,000 hectares (230,000 acres) and are primarily located in the Salinas Grandes/Guayatayoc salt lakes basin. Dajin Resources S.A. is now partnered with Lithium S Corporation who will be spending $2,000,000 on Dajin's concessions to earn a 51% interest while building a significant presence in Argentina.
