NioCorp Announces Results of 2016 Annual General Meeting
CENTENNIAL, Colo., Dec. 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the "Company”) (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) (FSE:BR3) is pleased to announce the results of its 2016 Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), held on Friday, December 9, 2016. Among the motions approved by NioCorp's shareholders included the following:
- Approval of the number of directors;
- Re-election of all of NioCorp's current Board members: Mark A. Smith, Joseph A. Carrabba, Michael Morris, David C. Beling, and Anna Castner Wightman; and
- Re-appointment of BDO USA, LLP as the Company's external auditor.
At the AGM the following five nominees were elected as Directors of the Company to serve until the next annual meeting of shareholders of the Company, or until their successors are elected or appointed. The results of the voting were as follows:

Joseph Cecil, a director of the Company since November 14, 2014, determined not to stand for re-election at the AGM, and accordingly ceased to be a director on December 9, 2016. About NioCorp
NioCorp is developing a superalloy materials project in Southeast Nebraska that will produce niobium, scandium, and titanium. Niobium is used to produce superalloys as well as High Strength, Low Alloy ("HSLA") steel, which is a lighter, stronger steel used in automotive, structural, and pipeline applications. Scandium is a superalloy material that can be combined with Aluminum to make alloys with increased strength and improved corrosion resistance.
