EnGold Mines Ltd. Finds Two New, Stronger Gravity Anomalies Near Discovery Area at Lac La Hache Property

05.04.2017  |  Newsfile
Vancouver, April 5, 2017 - David H. Brett, President & CEO, Engold Mines Ltd., (TSXV: EGM) ("EnGold" or the "Company") reports that newly collected gravity survey data indicates two new highly anomalous zones in the vicinity of the Company's recent copper-rich drill holes on its 100% owned Lac La Hache Property. No previous drilling has been completed in the area of the new anomalies. The most significant of the new anomalies is located approximately 2.5 kilometers northwest of discovery hole G16-01 and has returned values exceeding 3 milligals, which is three times higher than values reported to date, and is approximately 1000 metres by 500 metres at the 2.5 milligals level and higher. Located 1.2 km to the southeast of discovery hole G16-01, another anomaly with contoured values up to 1.6 milligals is approximately 1km by 1km at the 1.3 milligal level and higher. Also, the previously reported gravity anomaly has intensified to 1.5 milligals with new data collected, and indicates that the higher values increase to the south of the drilling at the discovery hole. The gravity survey is ongoing. A map showing the location and modeling of the new preliminary data has been posted to the Company's website.

"The size and intensity of the new anomaly to the northwest is outstanding." said VP Exploration Rob Shives, P.Geo. "The three strong gravity anomalies line up in a northwest/southeast trend that is now over 3 kilometers long."

EnGold has two drills at the site ready to recommence drilling in approximately two weeks. Assays results from drill holes G17-02, G17-03 & G17-04 are expected soon and will be released as soon as they are available.

"These exceptional new findings are adding to our knowledge of the recently discovered mineralization," said EnGold President & CEO David Brett. "We're looking forward to drill testing these new areas in the coming weeks."

About EnGold

EnGold is focused on finding and developing mining operations at its 100% owned mineral property located near the town of Lac La Hache in BC's prolific Cariboo mining region. EnGold's corporate philosophy rests on three interdependent pillars: Environment, Engagement and Gold. Through sound environmental stewardship, commitment to transparent engagement with local communities, the Company is dedicated to driving exceptional shareholder and stakeholder value by discovering and developing mineral resources.

About the Lac La Hache Property

The property lies within BC's Quesnel Trough mineral belt, which hosts several past and currently producing copper/gold/silver mines, including nearby Imperial Metals' Mount Polley copper-gold mine and New Gold Inc.'s New Afton copper-gold mine. The Company has drilled numerous prospects on the property, including Spout copper-magnetite-gold-silver deposit (for which a resource calculation has been reported and supported by an NI43-101 Technical Report), the gold-rich Aurizon gold-copper-silver prospect and recent new discoveries with porphyry and skarn copper/gold potential. Supported by significant local infrastructure including powerlines, all season road access, rail and other amenities, the Lac La Hache project demonstrates excellent logistics.

Rob Shives P.Geo., VP Exploration and a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical content of this release.
