Appointment of Executive Vice President
George Gorzynski, a Director and Co-Founder of Fireweed, has been appointed as Executive Vice President of the Company. Mr. Gorzynski is a geological engineer with 35 years’ experience in exploration and mining company management, with strong technical, management and leadership skills. He has been instrumental in the formation and management of Fireweed from the very beginning, including negotiation of the option agreement for the Tom and Jason property with Hudbay Minerals Inc. and the completion of the Company’s recent initial public offering and listing on the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Gorzynski has geological engineering degrees from the University of Toronto (Honours) and the University of British Columbia, and has worked on a number of zinc projects in British Columbia and Yukon.
Appointment of Committees
Fireweed has elected to form several committees of the Board of Directors to better access and benefit from the exceptional experience and skillset of its directors, and for the better governance of the Company. The newly constituted committees are comprised of the following members:
