Follow-up on Clarkie Gold project: several meter large altered and mineralized sedimentary unit extends for 3 km from Wacky Gold showing
MONTRÉAL, Sept. 19, 2018 - Management of DIOS EXPLORATION INC. is very pleased to report follow-up on wholly-owned CLARKIE gold project, along Eleonore mine - Cheechoo corridor, extends a favourable sedimentary unit for a minimum 3 km in strike with DIOS’ previous Clarkie sediment outcrop values of 8.9 g/t gold and 6.8 g/t gold (120 m apart): mineralization (pyrite) and alteration (sericite and silica) hosted by this sandstone (wacke) unit significantly increase and widen up to 25 m thick south of Wacky and along a volcano-sedimentary contact. Conglomerate units were observed adjacent to the altered mineralized sedimentary horizon.
Follow-up work includes prospecting, rock sampling and B-horizon soil sampling. Field work and rock mineralization and alteration descriptions are supervised by H. Desbiens, M.Sc. Geo 43-101 QP. Pending results will be released as soon as available.
A significant gold-bearing glacial train (proprietary data) indicated an up-ice source area hosting folded Clarkie sediments, equivalent (same age sediments) to those hosting Eleonore gold mine.
Wholly-owned CLARKIE (no royalties) is a gold discovery in outcropping sediments of same type and age hosting Eleonore gold mine, James Bay, Quebec, near major Opinaca structure, some 25 km southeast of Cheechoo along Eleonore mine -Cheechoo corridor. DIOS’ CLARKIE is located 25 km NE (up-ice) of wholly-owned AU33 gold project.
