Vancouver, September 20, 2018 - Makena Resources Inc. (CSE: MKNA) (OTC: CANSF) (the "Company" or "Makena") is pleased to announce that it is actively evaluating additional corporate growth drivers in sectors other than mining, including the life sciences sector. At this time, no new project has been contemplated, and there is no guarantee that one will be acceptable and/or approved by the board.Makena has fulfilled all of its obligations in order to purchase a 100% interest in the Moosehead Northeast claims, previously announced on August 8, 2018.
Makena has been named as a defendant in an action commenced by 1174683 BC Ltd., Kalt Industries Ltd., 1061437 BC Ltd. and Berthold Kalt, as plaintiffs, in the Supreme Court of British Columbia on September 19, 2018. In the action, the plaintiffs allege that Makena has breached an alleged agreement relating to the proposed acquisition of a company which holds the Black Spruce gold project in the Moosehead Gold District in Newfoundland. Makena considers the claim to be without merit and will be vigorously defending the action.
