Bam Bam Resources Corp. Announces Mobilization of Drilling Rig for the Majuba Hill Property
Phase 1 Drilling Program
Harris Exploration Drilling & Associates Inc. of Fallon, NV, mobilized a track mounted Core Rig to the project site. The two initial drill holes are targeting the high-grade copper zones containing significant gold and silver that were identified from the historic drilling. Bam Bam field personnel and contractors are using operational health and safety protocols consistent with ensuring the health and safety of its people, the local community, and the State of Nevada.
The drill program is being managed by Bam Bam’s Exploration Geologist, E.L. "Buster" Hunsaker III, a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43- 101"). He is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG 8137) with the American Institute of Professional Geologist. Mr. Hunsaker holds a B.S. degree in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. degree in Economic Geology from Colorado State University.
ALS Labs Limited will perform sample preparation at their Elko, Nevada facility. QA/QC protocols including blanks, standards, duplicates and chain of custody have been established and will be followed in accordance with best industry practices and in compliance with NI 43-101 guidelines. The current drilling is being done on Bam Bam's wholly-owned, patented mining claims and the same environmental safeguards and protocols used on the public lands will be maintained.
Mr. David Greenway, CEO, commented: “We are extremely pleased to have mobilized on this past-producing copper gold project, as only a small portion of the property has been drill tested. According to Alan J Morris MSc, CPG 10550, (NI 43-101 Technical Report, Majuba Hill Copper Project, Pershing County, Nevada, USA), historic underground mining on the Property produced 2.8 million lbs of copper; 184,000 ounces of silver; 885,800 lbs lead; 106,000 lbs zinc; 21,000 lbs tin; and 5,800 ounces of placer and lode gold between 1907 and 1960. We look forward to using modern mine exploration techniques to prove up better results than was historically mined."
The Property encompasses 4,822 acres of surface and mineral rights that includes 3 patented lode mining claims and 632 acres of privately-owned surface and minerals. The Property is easily accessed via 23 miles of well-maintained dirt roads leading from U.S. Interstate 80. Three gold zones are outlined based on the historic data. The gold zone in the main target area overlaps with the oxide copper target zone that will be drilled in the upcoming program.
