THIRD QUARTER 2020 HIGHLIGHTS AND OUTLOOK

NGEx Minerals Continues Search for Next Cornerstone Asset

During the third quarter of 2020, expenditures on the Company's projects remained subdued due to COVID-related travel restrictions in Chile and Argentina, and a general cost reduction initiative implemented by the Company since March 2020 in response to general economic uncertainty resulting from the pandemic. The key operational focus of the Company during the period was the continuation of its business development activities, which targets the identification of new projects for potential investment and acquisition.

NGEx Minerals' President and CEO, Wojtek Wodzicki, commented, "The Company has had a busy quarter behind the scenes, as due diligence reviews, ranging from preliminary to advanced, were undertaken on a number of fronts. While we have not yet taken any targets across the finish line, we are very encouraged by the quantity and quality of assets being identified through our internal processes.

With travel still tightly restricted in the Company's current operating jurisdictions, Chile and Argentina, our focus for the foreseeable future will be on continuing our business development initiatives, which we are optimistic will result in the addition of a high caliber asset to complement our portfolio."

The Company incurred a net loss of $1.7 million during the three months ended September 30, 2020, comprised primarily of a $0.8 million write down of its Nacimientos properties, $0.4 million in exploration and project investigation costs and $0.3 million in G&A costs. For the comparative three months ended September 30, 2019, the Company reported a net loss of $1.1 million, consisting mainly of $0.6 million in exploration and project investigation costs and $0.5 million in G&A costs.

The increase in net loss in the current period is mainly due to the impairment charge recognized on the Nacimientos properties, which is due to the Company having withdrawn from its option to earn into Nacimientos in August 2020. This was partially offset by the decrease in exploration and project investigation costs as a result of the reduction in field activity and discretionary expenditures in response to COVID-19. By comparison, during the third quarter of 2019, the Company continued environmental baseline studies at the Los Helados Project, and also initiated an exploration program at Valle Ancho.

LIQUIDITY AND CAPITAL RESOURCES

As at September 30, 2020, the Company had cash of $1.8 million and net working capital of $1.6 million, compared to cash of $5.6 million and net working capital of $5.3 million as at December 31, 2019. The decrease in the Company's cash and net working capital is due primarily to funds used in operations.

The Company plans to use the majority of its cash towards maintenance of its key exploration projects in South America, progressing its business development efforts, and general corporate activities.
