Forum Uranium Corp.: Henday Summer Exploration Program Planned

22.06.2010  |  Marketwire

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/22/10 -- Forum Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE: FDC) and Hathor Exploration Limited (TSX VENTURE: HAT) announce approval of a summer exploration program for the Henday project, Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Several priority targets have been defined this past winter by a series of geophysical surveys (gravity, EM and resistivity) located at the intersection of several faults, including the interpreted northern extension of the prolific Midwest fault. A summer program of till sampling is planned to cover these new target areas to give an important layer of geochemical information.

Drilling in the winter of 2010 intersected a strong alteration halo in both the sandstone and well down into the basement in twelve holes drilled in the Mallen Lake zone. Elevated geochemical indicators and minor uranium mineralization up to 0.2% U3O8 over 0.5 metres were intersected within a graphitic unit in the basement rocks, located within a much larger alteration envelope with reduction and oxidation fronts. This alteration zone is much more extensive than any other intersected on the project to date.

A drill program is now planned for winter 2011 to further investigate the potential of the Mallen Lake zone, and to complete a first pass test of the priority targets defined by the existing geophysics and upcoming till sampling survey.

Hathor has now earned a 40% interest in the Henday property from Forum, with $2 million having been spent, and has the option to earn a further 20% by spending an additional $1.5 million in exploration. By electing to take the project to a bankable feasibility study, they will earn another 10%. (For details see the Company's website at www.forumuranium.com)
