Capstone Reports Security Incident Near Cozamin Mine

Capstone Copper Corp. ("Capstone" or the "Company") (TSX: CS) announced that today there was a security incident near its Cozamin mine in Zacatecas, Mexico. An employee was shot and fatally wounded on the main access road between the city of Zacatecas and the mine. The mine site remained secure and operational. The Company is working with government authorities to ensure safe transportation to and from the mine site.

"Our foremost priority is the safety and security of our personnel, and we are committed to supporting the family of the deceased".

The Company maintains the necessary personnel at the mine for the site's security and safe operations.
