Eskay Mining Announces Appointment of Doug Chalmers as a Director
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/28/10 -- ESKAY MINING CORP. ('Eskay' or the 'Company') (TSX VENTURE: ESK)(FRANKFURT:878 985)(BERLIN:878 985) is pleased to announce that Doug Chalmers has been appointed a director of the Company, subject to regulatory approval.
In 1973 Doug Chalmers founded his own construction company, Doug Chalmers Construction specializing in civil construction, operating primarily in the Petro Chemical industry. The company operating in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta grew to more than 550 employees over 30 years. The company was acquired by BEIS, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Reserve Corporation, a U.S. Private Equity firm in 2007 where Mr. Chalmers remains employed. Mr. Chamlers was the Chairman of the Ontario General Contractors Association and the Council of Ontario Construction Associations. He is currently serving as a Board member of the Sarnia Construction Association, the Ontario General Contractors Association and the Council of Ontario Construction Associations. Mr. Chalmers has also been appointed as a member of the Provincial Apprenticeship Committee and the IHSA Labour Management Committee for Carpenters. His extensive entrepreneurial and management experience will be a tremendous asset to the future of the Company.
