Tres-Or Abitibi-Temiscamingue Exploration Update, Quebec
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/11/10 -- Tres-Or Resources Ltd ('Tres-Or') (TSX VENTURE: TRS) is pleased to provide an update on exploration on the Company's Fabre Project and Duparquet Gold Property in Quebec. Tres-Or undertook eleven gold, silver and base metal exploration projects in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region of northwestern Quebec earlier this year (see news releases dated January 21, 2010 and May 11, 2010). This update covers ongoing field programs underway at the Fabre silver (Ag), cobalt (Co), bismuth (Bi) and gold (Au) and Duparquet gold properties in Quebec.
Fabre Project
Tres-Or's Fabre Project in the Temiscamingue region of northwestern Quebec, covers historical Ag-Co-Bi, nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), and Au showings within the eastern extents of the famous Cobalt Silver Mining Camp. Tres-Or completed two drill holes totalling 200 m to confirm and extend historically reported (GM 53265) silver-cobalt-bismuth intersections of up to 714.5 grams per tonne (g/t) Ag, 8.0 percent Co, and 1.1 percent Bi on the property (see news release dated July 19, 2010). Tres-Or's two drill holes were located approximately 1.5 km outside the small town of Fabre, Quebec. Samples from 1/2 split drill core have been submitted to Activation Laboratory Ltd. in Ontario and ACME Analytical Laboratories (Vancouver) Ltd. in Vancouver. Results will be announced when received. In addition, Tres-Or has completed applications for an additional 17 claims to expand the Fabre Project.
Duparquet Property
Tres-Or's Duparquet Property is located within the Abitibi region of northwestern Quebec, adjacent to Clifton Star Resources Inc. past-producing Beattie and Donchester gold mine properties, and north of the regionally significant Porcupine-Destor fault. Tres-Or is conducting field work on their Duparquet Property to try and extend ore zones and associated splay faults from the adjacent Beattie and Donchester properties, which are currently being evaluated by Clifton Star and Osisko Mining Corporation in a joint-venture deal reportedly involving more than 120,000 m of drilling. Tres-Or's ongoing field work includes mapping and ground geophysical surveys, which are currently identifying targets for a fall drilling program.
