Don MacDonald Appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Quadra FNX Mining Ltd
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/16/10 -- Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. ('Quadra FNX' or 'the Company') (TSX: QUX) is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert ('Don') MacDonald has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the company, effective August 16th, 2010 Mr. MacDonald takes over from Mr. Stuart McDonald, the former Chief Financial Officer of Quadra and the interim Chief Financial Officer of Quadra FNX.
Mr. MacDonald has over 25 years experience in mine development, operation and financing. During his career Don has been involved in the operation or development of ten mines in North and South America, the completion of mine financings totaling over US$2 billion and multiple merger and acquisition transactions. Don was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of NovaGold Resources Inc. (2003-2010) a company with two large development properties. Prior to NovaGold, Don was the Chief Financial Officer for a public biotech company (2001-2003), De Beers Canada Mining (formerly Winspear Diamonds) (1999-2001) and Dayton Mining (1991-1999) and Vice-President Finance of Granges Inc (1983-1991). Don is a chartered accountant, and holds bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from Oxford University.
