KIRKLAND LAKE, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/15/10 -- Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of Shareholders of Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. (TSX: KGI)(AIM: KGI) (the 'Company') will be held at Suite 1028, 550 Burrard Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 9:30 p.m. (Vancouver time), for the following purposes:

a.  To receive the financial statements of the Company for the fiscal year
    ended April 30, 2010 together with the report of the auditors thereon;

b.  To appoint auditors;

c.  To set the number of directors at seven;

d.  To elect directors;

e.  To ratify and approve the Company's new By-laws;

f.  To transact such further or other business as may properly come before
    the meeting or any adjournment or adjournments thereof.
