VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/19/10 -- Adanac Molybdenum Corporation ('Adanac' or the 'Company') (TSX: AUA)(PINK SHEETS: AUAYF)(FRANKFURT: A9N) is pleased to announce that the British Columbia Supreme Court (the 'Court') made an order (the 'Creditors' Meeting Order') today that the stay of proceedings granted in the Company's Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act proceedings be extended to December 31, 2010. The Court also approved the distribution of the Company's proposed plan of compromise and arrangement (the 'Plan') to creditors and directed that the Company convene meetings of its creditors to consider and vote on the Plan at 10:30 a.m. (Vancouver time) on November 9, 2010, at the office of Adanac's Court-appointed Monitor, KPMG Inc., located at 9th Floor, 777 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V7Y 1K3, Canada.

As part of the Creditors' Meeting Order, the Court also dispensed with the need for the approval of the Plan by the Company's shareholders, subject to the Company complying with certain notice provisions in favour of its shareholders.

If the Plan is approved by the requisite numbers and percentages of creditors at the creditor meetings, the Company will be applying to the Court on November 19, 2010 for an order sanctioning the Plan.

Information and documents relating to the Plan, the creditor meetings and the Creditors' Meeting Order will be published on the website of Adanac's Court-appointed Monitor, KPMG Inc.: www.kpmg.ca/adanac.
