Selwyn Expands Management Team as Selwyn Project Advances

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/11 -- Selwyn Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SWN) ('Selwyn) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its management team with the addition of Joe Ringwald as Vice President Mining.

Mr. Ringwald, as Vice President Mining, is responsible for all aspects of engineering and mining for Selwyn with a near term key role in overseeing the Feasibility Study being prepared by Wardrop Engineering for the Selwyn Project. He will provide services to Selwyn Chihong Mining Ltd., the joint venture company formed by Selwyn and Chihong Canada Ltd. to advance the Selwyn Project (see August 18, 2010 news release). Mr. Ringwald is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a degree in mining engineering. He has broad experience in engineering, mine development and operations formerly with Placer Dome, AMEC and Brett Resources. He has a strong interest in sustainability and corporate responsibility in mining.
