Victory Nickel Announces Resignation of T. Mike Young From Board of Directors
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/10/11 -- Victory Nickel Inc. (the 'Company') (TSX: NI) (www.victorynickel.ca) today announced that T. Michael Young has resigned from the Company's Board of Directors for personal reasons, effective immediately.
Mr. Young has been a Board member since the Company's creation in 2007, and was instrumental in the advancement of the Company's Minago, Mel and Lac Rocher sulphide nickel deposits.
Chair Cynthia Thomas, stated: 'Mike has been an important member of the board since Victory Nickel's inception. Mike's contribution will be missed and, on behalf of the entire board, I would like to offer our sincere thanks for his wise counsel and guidance, and to wish him and his family the best in the future.'
The Board is identifying candidates to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Young's resignation and expects to be in a position to announce his replacement in the coming weeks.
